CSE Mobilizes Voters Across North Carolina

The election debate in North Carolina has turned to Social Security reform and Taxes, and liberal tax-and-spenders are distorting the truth about Elizabeth Dole and other candidates. That’s why Citizens for a Sound Economy is mobilizing to educate North Carolina voters on these key issues.

CSE’s 25,000 members in North Carolina are combining thousands of volunteer hours with an expensive, integrated campaign to get the truth out. CSE is:

  • Visiting 100,000 households in organized precinct walks

  • Distributing 20,000 voter education scorecards, by mail and by canvassing groups, to North Carolina voters

  • Placing 2,500 outdoor signs across the state

  • Sending nearly 12,000 HTML emails to N.C. CSE members

On Social Security in North Carolina, CSE is:

  • Running a state-wide radio spot “Elizabeth Dole Will Protect Social Security”

  • Making 100,000 targeted telephone calls to NC voters

  • Mailing 25,000 pieces on Dole’s record on Social Security

On Taxes in North Carolina, CSE is:

  • Making a second set of 72,000+ voter telephone calls

  • The CSE “I won’t raise taxes” Pledge Campaign reached all NC candidates and resulted in over 130 candidate pledges
