Empower America Welcomes Cesar V. Conda As New Member of the Board of Directors

Today, Empower America was pleased to announce that Cesar V. Conda will join the organization as a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Conda brings extensive experience and knowledge of public policy to Empower America and a commitment to ideas of low taxes, free market enterprise and entrepreneurship.

Mr. Conda, who is currently a partner at Navigators, a government relations consulting firm, was most recently a principal advisor to Vice President Dick Cheney where he served as the Assistant to the Vice President for Domestic Policy. Prior to joining the White House in January of 2001, Mr. Conda served 12 years in various positions in the United States Senate including Administrative Assistant and Legislative Director for U.S. Senator Spencer Abraham (now Secretary of Energy), Minority Staff Director of the Senate Committee on Small Business, and Legislative Assistant for U.S. Senator Robert W. Kasten, Jr. In 1996, Mr. Conda was Policy Advisor for the Dole-Kemp Presidential Campaign.

Mr. Conda has held many other positions with public policy institutions and received numerous awards and recognition for his work in Washington, DC. Mr. Conda has written articles on a wide variety of policy issues for publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, Journal of Commerce, San Diego Union Tribune, Human Events, and Tax Notes.

As a member of the Board of Directors for Empower America, Mr. Conda will take a very active role working with the co-directors and staff on many of the organization’s core issues, including tax reform, Social Security reform and technology issues. His role with Empower America will also include writing opinion-editorials, conducting press interviews, and serving as a liaison for the organization during policy-related events and meetings.
