FreedomWorks Speaks to Young Conservatives

VERMONT – At the Holiday Inn in Burlington a group highly motivated college students from Middlebury, Champlain, St. Michael’s, and UVM came together to form the new Young Conservatives Network. Rob Roper, State Director for FreedomWorks-Vermont, and Frank Mazur, Chairman of the FreedomWorks Advisory Council, both spoke at the event.

This is another encouraging sign for the Vermont political landscape. More and more we are seeing forces for less government, lower taxes and more economic opportunity stepping up to take an active role in shaping policy. The stakes are high, as both the nation and Vermont are at policy crossroads, and the energy and enthusiasm of a united conservative college community will be a valuable and appreciated asset in the fights to come.

The Young Conservatives Network named Justin Canovatchel of Champlain College as their President.

FreedomWorks looks forward to working closely with the Young Conservatives Network on many issues in the future.
