FreedomWorks Rallies in Columbia, South Carolina for a Tax Refund!

COLUMBIA, S.C. On Saturday May 20, FreedomWorks activists joined Governor Mark Sanford, tax cut advocates and rank and file conservatives on the steps of the state capitol in Columbia. These grassroots activists were there to show support for the Governor’s plan to return the $500 million surplus to South Carolina’s taxpayers.

Many of the big-government liberals and moderates in the state legislature are seeking to spend this surplus rather than returning it to the people.

Though the Capitol was hit with a rainstorm an hour before the event, FreedomWorks state director Allen Page and his activists came out to voice their support of the Governor’s sound fiscal policy.

The Governor rewarded their hard work by thanking them personally and generously autographing their FreedomWorks signs.
