What: Protest of the cap and trade energy rationing scheme. The CEOs of many share-holder owned electric companies (many of whom support the cap and trade bill) will be holding their annual meeting, and protesters are asked to convene with signs.

Who: FreedomWorks will join forces with the Arizona chapter of Americans for Prosperity and the Scottsdale Tea Party.

When and where: Protesters will be meeting at the Scottsdale Road entrance to the Fairmont Scottsdale (7575 East Princess Drive).

Why: Cap and trade is the next big taxpayer bailout. Some of the CEOs attending the Edison Electric Institute’s (EEI) annual board meeting seem more concerned with lining their own pockets than the repercussions their shareholders and all Americans would face as a result of a cap and trade system of energy rationing.

FreedomWorks is a national grassroots organization with over 800,000 members nationwide dedicated to lower taxes, less government, and more freedom.
