Pledge to Vote YES on Issues 2 & 3 FreedomWorks and our local tea party allies in Ohio are teaming up to support Governor Kasich's union reform agenda and stop ObamaCare in its tracks this November by urging our members to vote YES on Ballot Issues 2 & 3. When SB 5 was passed last spring, it helped balance Ohio's budget by giving local governments desperately-needed flexibility to renegotiate certain aspects of public sector union contracts. It also introduced a system of merit pay for public employees, while asking them to contribute a small percentage of their income to their own benefit and pension plans.

FreedomWorks to Host Tea Party Debt Commission Field Hearings in Utah

WHAT: This week, FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe and select staffers will host four Tea Party Debt Commission (TPDC) field hearings across the state of Utah. Senator Mike Lee will join his constituents for the final field hearing in Provo, UT to participate in the ongoing discussion over how to rein in government spending. Local activists are expected to attend, and encouraged to bring their own proposals for specific cuts to the federal budget.

The Environmental Protection Agency finalized the Cross State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR) on July 6th of this year, and is scrambling to implement the Utility Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) Rule, scheduled to be finalized this November; forcing compliance for both rules by New Year’s Day 2012 and 2015 respectively. Both CSAPR and MACT are part of the EPA’s recent regulatory push that has become known as the EPA Train Wreck.

Tea Party Debt Commission Field Hearing in Orlando THIS FRIDAY!

The Tea Party Debt Commission will be holding its second field hearing this Friday, September 23, at the Orlando, Florida CPAC. The meeting will be held from 12:30 PM-2:00 PM ET at the Denny’s across from the Orange County Convention Center. The Tea Party Debt Commission is a response to America’s fiscal irresponsibility. It consists of 12 members, reflecting the number of members in Congress-appointed Super Committee. The commission asks American citizens to help map out a budget plan to propose to Congress in late November. The goals of the budget plan include:
