We Cannot Wait Until 2014, Chip Away at ObamaCare Now

During a recent conference call with bloggers to promote his bill to allow Americans to keep their current health insurance, Senator Ron Johnson told the story of a woman who is battling lung cancer and her husband who is recovering from prostate cancer. Both are enrollees in the soon to be extinct Wisconsin high risk insurance pool for patients with pre-existing conditions.

Seven Reasons Millennials Distrust the Republican Party

Establishment Republicans are facing some tough approval ratings. Speaker John Boehner has the same approval rating held by Rep. Nancy Pelosi when she brought Democrats back to the minority in the House in 2010. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is losing to the Democrat he will tentatively face for re-election next year.

Governor Kasich (R-OH) is taking flak from conservatives for his plan to expand Medicaid in his state. Not only have his actions been foolish and irresponsible, but he also violated the principle of representative government and even broke the law in order to implement it.

As one of our millions of FreedomWorks members nationwide, I urge you to contact your senators today and urge them to cosponsor S. 1488, Sen. Virtue! – Washington Post Condones Deceit

All sober enquiries (sic) after truth, ancient and modern, Pagan and Christian, have declared that the happiness of man, as well as his dignity, consists in virtue. Confucius, Zoroaster, Socrates, Mahomet, not to mention authorities really sacred, have agreed in this.If there is a form of government then, whose principle and foundation is virtue, will not every sober man acknowledge it better calculated to promote the general happiness than any other form?

Ann Coulter Gets Some Facts Wrong

In an October 30th column, Ann Coulter excoriates conservatives who believe that Republicans do not do enough to fight for limited government. False Premises and The Root Failing of Collectivism

Lost Health Insurance – Dem Leader, “We Knew”

Democracy and Power 108: ObfuscationWherever politics intrudes upon economic life, political success is readily attained by saying what people like to hear rather than what is demonstrably true. Instead of safeguarding truth and honesty, the state then tends to become a major source of insincerity and mendacity. —Hans F. Sennholz
