Congressman Barton Goes 'All In' for Online Gambling

Last week, Congressman Joe Barton (R-TX) introduced a bipartisan bill that would end the federal online gambling ban.  The Internet Gambling Prohibition, Poker Consumer Protection, and Strengthening UIGEA Act of 2011 has nine original cosponsors from both sides of the aisle, including Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) and Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA), who have advocated for similar legislation in the past.

No Debt Ceiling Hike without Cut, Cap and Balance

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner warns that America is just 40 days away from Armageddon. Don’t let the scare tactics fool you. Even if the debt ceiling is not raised, the U.S. will not necessarily default on its debt on August 2. It’s difficult to understand how anyone would still see Geithner as an authority on the economy due to his previous gaffes on everything from the “stimulus” to the Dodd-Frank financial overhaul law.

Various parties, from environmentalists to businesses are heralding natural gas as the answer to our national energy crisis. Proper fracking harvests large quantities of natural gas safely and at a reasonable cost.

Don't Greek Us Bro

“Cry ‘Havoc!’  And let slip the dogs of war.”  This is a famous line from William Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar.   It appears that the Congressional Budget Office have been brushing up on their Shakespeare.  For in their annual Long-Term Budget Outlook they have predicted that the debt will consume 76% of GDP by 2021, and in different scenarios the debt could be as high as 101% of GDP in ten years.  These figures have placed those in http://dailycall
