Washington, DC- FreedomWorks applauds the Senate Judiciary Committee for unanimously passing an amendment championed by Senators Mike Lee (UT) and Patrick Leahy (VT) to update the Electronic Communications Privacy Act. The amendment would require the government to get a search warrant to gain access to personal emails or any other electronic information held by a third party.
