Lefty freak-out over the Tax Day Tea Parties

As you have probably surmised, there will be a large round of Tea Parties coming up on April 15th. There will be large names, even larger crowds - and honestly, organizers would be unable to stop people from coming if they wanted to at this point. I will be speaking inAtlanta, and the FreedomWorks event in DC has a fantastic line-up including Lord Monckton, Andrew Breitbart, and Ron Paul.

The Insufficiency of Obama's Drilling Initiative...

President Obama recently articulated his plans to begin drilling for oil and natural gas off the coasts of North Carolina, Virginia, Florida and Alaska. Obama conveyed, at Andrew Air Force Base, the importance of exploiting the natural resources along our coastlines that will spur job growth, and diminish our dependence on foreign oil imports.

Celebrate Tax Freedom Day on April 9th

According to the Tax Foundation, Tax Freedom Day will take place on April 9th this year. This means that on Friday, Americans will have earned enough money to solely pay off their total tax bill for 2010. We are required to work 99 days—or 26.89 percent-- of the year for the government while having the remainder of the year to pay for all our necessities. In fact, the Tax Foundation found that,

Congress attempted to pass this so-called emergency extension of unemployment benefits before Easter break. However, Sen. Coburn (R-OK) blocked the $10 billion because the costs were not offset and it would add to our federal deficit. In Sen. Coburn's own words,

Staggering unemployment levels take toll on young Americans

In an article found in this morning's Wall Street Journal, Princeton University's Katherine Newman delivers one of the most disturbing quotes that I have read in a long time: We may have well given up on the idea that our kids will do better than us, but the idea that they should do as well, that's something we haven't given up on yet.Professor Newman's quote isn't troublesome because it is untrue.  It is troubl

Labor Department's March Jobs Report Inflated By Census Hiring

The Labor Department’s March jobs report was released today indicating that job growth was less-than-expected. While the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 9.7%, a record number of 6.5 million Americans have been out of work for at least six months. The majority of forecasters predicted that there would be 200,000 new jobs in March.

ADP Jobs Report: 23,000 Private Sector Jobs Lost in March

A disappointing ADP jobs report shows that 23,000 private sector jobs were lost in March. This data was shocking to some forecasters who predicted that economic recovery was on the way. The Washington Post claimed that the construction industry and factories fared the worst in the ADP report,
