Harrisburg, Pennsylvania has been a center for the fight for school choice.On June 6, with only five activists and four hundred signs, Harrisburg was invaded by school choice signs. The signs sent a message to the Pennsylvania legislators because a school choice bill is to be voted on soon.

Senator Inhofe—Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works—released this video highlighting a number of different Obama EPA administrators pushing the war on fossil fuels, in favor of creating a green “way of life”.
Coal Communities devastated by EPA and new Utility MACT rule
Within the past few years new EPA regulations have hit coal-based communities hard, especially in the Appalachian regions of eastern Kentucky. Local communities are dependent upon the coal industry not just in Kentucky, but in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, and other parts of the country. The coal industry provides thousands with electricity and jobs.

As one of our million-plus FreedomWorks members nationwide, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on S. 3240, the Agriculture Reform, Food, and Jobs Act of 2012. This bloated bill contains massive amounts of farm subsidies, wasteful programs, and will increase the federal government’s role in agriculture.
Utility MACT rule another costly addition to excessive government regulation
Federal government regulation and spending continues to climb under a spend-happy administration. Just as concerning, yet not as obvious, is the impact of federal regulations. When the government increases regulation on businesses, it increases the cost of doing business which increases prices for the consumer. The Competitive Enterprise Institute puts together an annual report called “Ten Thousands Commandments” that attempts to measure the burden of government regulation. Here are some of the highlights from the 2011 report.
