Debate before a House committee on Thursday pitted the dangers of secondhand smoke against the rights of private property owners to run their businesses as they see fit. That Pesky Constitution

This piece originally appeared in the Kernersville News. The recent editorial entitled “An emotional debate” was certainly titled appropriately. Stop HB 2707 and HB 2031 and Save Taxpayers $290 million!

Lawmakers in Oregon have gone tax-crazy, introducing a series of new bills that would lead to a tax increase of over $1 billion dollars. It is time they realize that Oregon businesses and citizens need a tax cut, not a tax increase. FreedomWorks Oregon has taken the first step in teaching this lesson, defeating the business activities tax, saving taxpayers over $150 million already!
