BY

However, today the House considered the bill under "suspension of the rules," which requires a 2/3 vote to pass legislation, and the bill gathered only a 234-174 majority.

Tons of Fruit Rots in American Farm Fields

The New York Times has a good look at the economic consequences occuring today because we lack a good temporary worker program. There are people who just want to come here and contribute and return home; Congress should be able to accomodate this win-win situation with a temporary worker program that does not compromise our security or give people amnesty.

Capital Gains Tax Plus Inflation Is a Loser for Taxpayers

Analyst Phil Kerpen has a nice article on how the effects of inflation hurt investors.  Kerpen used methodology of tax economist Art Hall to determine how much inflation is responsible for capital gains in the past half century.  The results will astonish you.  FreedomWorks has weighed in on the issue with a call for repeal of the inflation tax on capital gains.  You should too.
