Tell Your Members of Congress to Support/Co-Sponsor the LOCAL Level Act, S. 1974.

As one of our more than 6 million FreedomWorks members nationwide, I urge you to contact your representative and your senators today and urge them to support Senator Pat Roberts’ LOCAL (Learning Opportunities Created at the Local) Level Act “to amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) to prohibit Federal education mandates, and for other purposes,” and to co-sponsor the bill if they have not already done so.

Keep the Bureaucrats Out of Preschool

Early childhood schooling has become an increasingly important element of the national debate over the federal government’s role in education. The years before kindergarten can have a strong influence on our children’s development into productive members of society. With this in mind, President Obama has prioritized Race to the Top and the creation of a federally funded, universal preschool program. Focus on Winning Issues in 2014: ObamaCare and School Choice

The year that we are bidding farewell to has been nothing short of creepy when one considers it through the prism of personal freedom. As I write this, I'm fairly certain the NSA is watching me through the lights on my Christmas tree, which also seem to be blinking "What are you wearing?" in Morse code. Stop Common Core Meetings for Activists Begin Tonight in Missouri

Activists in Missouri will have a number of opportunities to learn more about the movement to Stop Common Core at local meetings held around the state by the Missouri Precinct Project.  MOPP as it's commonly known in Missouri was created "to educate and motivate conservatives to become more involved in the political process, to register more unregistered citizens and increase voter participation."
