Focus on Winning Issues in 2014: ObamaCare and School Choice

The year that we are bidding farewell to has been nothing short of creepy when one considers it through the prism of personal freedom. As I write this, I'm fairly certain the NSA is watching me through the lights on my Christmas tree, which also seem to be blinking "What are you wearing?" in Morse code. We have a unilateral edict egomaniac in the White House and we are mere hours away from the IRS being able to demand your financials AND your latest colonoscopy pics (trust me, they'll get there).

Stop Common Core Meetings for Activists Begin Tonight in Missouri

Activists in Missouri will have a number of opportunities to learn more about the movement to Stop Common Core at local meetings held around the state by the Missouri Precinct Project.  MOPP as it's commonly known in Missouri was created "to educate and motivate conservatives to become more involved in the political process, to register more unregistered citizens and increase voter participation."

BY Vanessa Everheart

Our youngest daughter is involved in the Parents as Teachers program, as have our previous two children. One day our “Teacher” Miss Tami came over for a screening and began asking some questions I hadn’t heard asked before. Questions about my pregnancy and birth and then she wanted information for our daughter to have a Kansas ID number. That’s when I stopped her.

Losing Literacy

Until WWII, American children learned to read by utilizing phonics. Words were not learned by memorization but rather, children learned that each letter had a corresponding sound. When put together with other sounds, a word was made. This method had proved to be extraordinarily successful since America’s founding and two centuries beyond. It was this method that allowed Benjamin Franklin to be a proficient reader before ever stepping foot into a classroom.

The U.S. Education System: What Went Wrong? Part III

A great thing about being American is that if you are unhappy with how things are run in one state, you are free to move to 49 others.  The same goes for businesses. If you are unsatisfied with one company, you can take your money to another establishment.
