Wrestling With a Racist Stereotype

He frequently discusses such topics as the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, amidst the backdrop of a 'Don't Tread on Me' flag, and a constant refrain of 'We the People'.But he's not a Tea Party member. He is a white man who detests others "with faces not like mine", those that have crossed our borders but cannot speak the same language, and wonders how we can get rid of these people. But he's not racist. At least that's what the creative minds at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) want you to believe.

How You Can Save Your Country

Government goes to those who show up, right?  We've learned that we can't go to sleep and expect our nation to survive. Those with a penchant to support overbearing government programs to solve every societal ill never rest. Those of us who want to rein in government spending and fight for individual liberty cannot rest either. To limit government and keep it honest, we can't start at the top. We have to start at the bottom, at the most local level, where the trouble  often starts. The best place to start saving the country is right where you are. Local government controls much of what you and your family does on a daily basis.  Whether it's water rights, local taxes, street signage or the curriculum being taught in your schools, you should have a voice and be involved.  Find your passion and get busy. There are some activities that are easy to start doing that can produce immediate results, and give you a great sense of accomplishment along the way.

Black History Month: Do We Still Need It In Its Current Form?

Whenever Black History Month comes around, I experience mixed feelings stemming from its celebration in the Department of Defense schools that I attended during my childhood.  It was always a time of shame and mockery mixed with defiant force for us. We weren't permitted to sit it out, we were commanded to celebrate, which took a lot of the fun out of it.  I always wondered why the history of black people had to be confined to a single month instead of being inside the history books along with the rest.

Little Boy Plays Hero At School and Is Suspended

Here’s when you know that political correctness running amok hurts real people: when tiny children engaging in imaginary play are punished for pretending to be heroes.  Although it seems impossible, it’s exactly what happened to a seven year old second grade youngster in Loveland Colorado. LOVELAND, Colo. — A 2nd grader has been suspended from school in Loveland for a make believe game he was playing.

America - Brought to You By the Farmer

I’ll admit it, I only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. Usually, my favorite is one of the funny commercials but, this year, I have to give the prize to “God Made a Farmer.” Yes, the woman who never gets sappy over television, books, or movies, got sappy over a commercial for a truck.

Wing Man: How Obama is Impacting Your Super Bowl Sunday

Love and marriage.  America and apple pie.  Chicken wings and Super Bowl Sunday.Has there ever been a more perfect combination of sports and snacks than the chicken wing/football combination we will experience this weekend?I say, nay.The Obama administration however, has somehow managed to dampen the excitement of this year's Super Bowl, by causing small businesses to panic over chicken wing supply while simultaneously raising market prices to record highs.
