Discovered: An UNLIMITED Obamacare Slush Fund

Just when we thought there were no more brazen audacities left to report about in Obamacare, here comes a doozy.    House Republicans have uncovered, tucked away in Section 1311(a) of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), an UNLIMITED Obamacare implementation slush fund. That's right.  Unlimited.

FreedomWorks Letter Supporting Five Bills to Eliminate Mandatory Spending in ObamaCare

Dear FreedomWorks member, As one of our one million-plus members who support free markets, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to support several bills to amend ObamaCare. The new health care law provided billions of dollars in mandatory spending for numerous new programs. This funding procedure ultimately reduces congressional oversight by shifting power to the Executive Branch. All of the following five bills would increase congressional responsibility and oversight by converting ObamaCare’s mandatory spending to discretionary spending:

ObamaCare One Year Later: Majority of Americans Still Oppose Unconstitutional Law

Most of us are likely to remember where we were when a national tragedy happened. As for me, I’ll always remember where I was when I heard that ObamaCare had passed the House of Representatives and was headed for President Obama’s desk. On March 21, 2010, I was sitting in the back of a crammed pickup truck from Kentucky en route to my home state of Maryland. A group of us decided to drive over nine hours to spend our entire college spring break campaigning for a long-shot senate candidate by the name of Rand Paul.

Issue Analysis

Doing the Right Thing on Spending

Though no one would think it by watching the media’s coverage of Wisconsin, reining in out-of-control spending on public employee unions is a bipartisan issue.  Though only the Republicans have taken reforms far enough in an effort to limit collective bargaining, but it was not a Republican but rather Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo who stated in his inaugural

Letter to House: Cosponsor H.R. 371 Health Care Choice Act

Dear Representative, FreedomWorks is a leading grassroots organization with over one million members fighting for lower taxes, less government and more freedom. I am writing today to urge you to cosponsor H.R. 371, the Health Care Choice Act. Introduced by Rep. Blackburn (R-TN), this bill would repeal title 1 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and amend the Public Health Service Act to permit consumers to purchase health insurance across state lines. These changes would allow consumers to purchase health insurance that best meets their needs in any state.
