That Which is not Seen: The Hidden Evils of the Minimum Wage

“Between a good and a bad economist this constitutes the whole difference – the one takes account of the visible effect; the other takes account both of the effects which are seen and also those which it necessary to foresee.”~ C. Frederic Bastiat, 1801-1850

Those the Stimulus Package Didn't Help

In a recent address to the National Governors' Association, President Obama said that, in spite of how some Republicans might feel about the stimulus bill, it definitely helped their states. But if the money the government spent has real value, it will have come out of real labor.

Stand with Gov. Scott Walker

As the debate rages over Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's, "Budget Repair" bill it is important that we stand behind his valiant effort.  Local and national tea party groups are organizing a "Stand with Walker" rally for this Saturday at the Wisconsin state capitol building that I urge you to attend.  The unions are mounting a big attack, as seen by the thousands demonstrating the governor's proposal; we must respond!

Wisconsin Defenders of Status Quo Out of Touch with Reality

". . . If It Stops Moving, Subsidize It"

For anyone who believes in free-markets and limited government, President Obama’s “State of the Union” address not only failed to provide hope for a change of course, it instilled concern that the White House would pursue a more radical one.

‘Tis the Season for Giving—Not Taking

During the holiday season, we are often reminded to give to those that are less fortunate. This time of year, many of us reach into our own pockets to donate to charitable causes that we hold dear. Even in the face of tough economic times, Americans have shown that we are still generous with our hard-earned money. In 2009, Americans voluntarily gave an estimated $307.65 billion to private charities.
