I am writing to thank you for voting to protect individual liberty and reduce government intervention in the economy during the 107th Congress, and to inform you that you have won Citizens for a Sound Economy's coveted Jefferson Award. This award is presented at the end of each Congress to those legislators who steadfastly protect CSE's principles of lower taxes, less government, and more freedom. Having achieved an over 80 percent voting record with CSE, you are eligible for this honor.

Since 1984, Citizens for a Sound Economy (CSE) has been fighting for the principles of lower taxes, less government and more freedom. CSE believes that battles for freedom cannot be won solely in think tank conference centers or on the pages of a policy paper. Citizens themselves must be active and educated participants in preserving our freedoms and liberties. CSE's mission is to provide our more then 280,000 volunteer citizen activists, who are dedicated to the vision our Founding Fathers had for America, with the education and organization needed to make their voices louder then their vote.
