Read your article in today's Wall Street Journal. As a supporter of the Flat Tax I encourage you to have your staff and Freedom Works supporters compute their flat tax for 2005 by dividing line 57 by line 22 of form 1040. Then go back for ten years and do the same. Bet the answer is a flat tax! It just takes 40 plus hours to complete a simple division problem. Isn't excessive government great. Not only will time be saved, but think of the all the forms and publications that can be eliminated.

P.S. A corporate flat tax would certainly cut down on the number of lobbyists.

I read your editorial in today’s WSJ. Why on earth have Republicans become liberals after kicking liberals out of the political landscape? President Bush had a marvelous excuse for not spending a penny on liberal programs after 9/11. Fighting the war on terror would consume tons of money, and nothing would be left for social nonsense. Instead he invented the no child left behind stuff, this horrible Medicare drug program and like you said in your editorial, has not vetoed a single spending bill. For Republicans to try to “please” liberals is a losing game. The liberals will always hate conservatives, and Republicans will lose their base. A stupid policy. So I am left with one choice: Stay home at the next election, because neither Republicans nor Democrats can reduce the size of Government. Republicans failed miserably, and the U.S. is becoming like France where all the political parties are socialists. How sad it is. Too bad you left the House of Representatives.
