Our state lawmakers got a visit from a former U-S House Majority Leader today.Dick Armey was here to discuss 'Freedom Works'....an activist group working to put limits on state spending. Armey is in support of a petition that would regulate the growth of our state's government. The more our government grows..the more tax dollars are spent. "WE WILL LIMIT THE GROWTH OF THE GOVERNMENT IN A RATIONAL MANNER WITH THE GROWTH OF THE STATE RATHER THAN HAVE A STATE GOVERNMENT WHO GROWS THREE TO FOUR TIMES AS MUCH AS THE STATE IS GROWING."Armey says..these limitations would force our goverment to make budget cuts lawmakers feel are necessary.
