<p>Former U.S. House Majority Leader Dick Armey is planning a trip to Alabama to publicly oppose Gov. Bob Riley's massive tax plan.
Armey says while he is fond of Riley, he thinks the Governor's plan will be bad for Alabama's economy.
Armey, who like Riley is a Republican, is now the co-chairman of Citizens for a Sound Economy, a conservative lobbying group advocating lower taxes and less government.
Voters will decide the fate of the Governor's plan in a referendum in September.
