Five Biggest Reasons to Hate the IRS Tax Code

President Donald Trump has proposed what he calls “the biggest tax cut since Ronald Reagan.” He also wants vast simplification so that Americans can fill out their taxes on a postcard return. Let’s hope that part of this reform package will be to defang the IRS, which treats Americans as if they are guilty until proven innocent and invades the basic privacy rights of citizens.

Human Trafficking Abuses Don’t Justify Bad Legislation

Senators should be commended for their derring-do to fight vile human trafficking abuses. But their current solution, the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act, dubbed “SESTA,” would curb Internet innovation.

FreedomWorks Foundation Praises Continued Regulatory Discipline at FCC Under Chairman Pai

Today, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai announced before the House and Energy Commerce Committee updates to the Commission’s regulatory framework on media ownership. This modernization is long overdue, reflecting the massive changes in how Americans consume news and entertainment with advent of the Internet. Key Vote YES on the Senate Amendment to H.Con.Res. 71, the Budget Resolution for FY 2018

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote YES on the Senate Amendment to H.Con.Res. 71, the budget resolution for FY 2018. Although the Senate’s budget numbers are not ideal, the passage of the Senate amendment to H.Con.Res. 71 would avoid a conference committee and save several days on the legislative calendar, giving the House Ways and Means Committee a head start on fundamental tax reform.
