Dear Representative, On behalf of over one million FreedomWorks members nationwide, I urge you to sign onto the Republican Study Committee Health Care Working Group’s letter asking the Republican leadership to introduce an alternative health care plan with no mandates. We applaud the Republican leadership for passing the Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act. The next step is to devise an alternative health care plan that will truly lower costs and improve health care quality.

Letter to House: Cosponsor H.R. 1049 the ROAD to Jobs Act of 2011

Dear Representative, On behalf of over one million FreedomWorks members nationwide, I urge you to cosponsor H.R. 1049 the ROAD (regulatory openness, accountability, and disclosure) to Jobs Act of 2011. Introduced by Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH), the bill would require the Council of Environmental Quality to release an annual report detailing the permitting process for energy projects. The ROAD to Jobs Act is an important step to exposing how unelected federal bureaucrats are stifling job growth.

Those the Stimulus Package Didn't Help

In a recent address to the National Governors' Association, President Obama said that, in spite of how some Republicans might feel about the stimulus bill, it definitely helped their states. But if the money the government spent has real value, it will have come out of real labor.

Letter to Senate: Oppose the Nomination of Peter Diamond to Become Member of Federal Reserve Board of Governors

Dear Senator, FreedomWorks is a leading grassroots organizing fighting for lower taxes, less government and more freedom. I am writing to urge you to oppose President Obama’s nomination of Peter Diamond to become a Member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. While Peter Diamond did win the Noble Prize in economics, as Paul Krugman did, this should not be the deciding factor when considering a nominee. I urge you to take a serious look at his troubling policy positions that he has taken throughout his career.

In Urgent Need of Balanced Budget Amendment

We all know the circumstances that have led to our dire fiscal straits. The federal government led by its liberal purveyors of the preceding 110th Congress, have been on a spending bender the likes of which has left Charlie Sheen in awe.  This compulsive nature of spending is so addictive, that the mere mention of fiscal austerity as an expedient sends liberals into withdrawals and convulsions.

Fleeing State Senators Should Remember Who Employs Them

For years, public sector unions have hoped that their employers would forget that they were their employers; that they could advance independent of the same demands that workers in the private sector face, such as performance review and a competitive marketplace.  November demonstrated that the voters are no longer standing for this, and governors in these states are following through on the voters’ demands. But the voters are not the only ones who recognize that the old way of doing things needs reform.  The books say so as well.
