BlueDogPound.com was launched in early 2009 after it was observed that the majority of the Blue Dog Coalition in the United States House of Representatives has begun to stray from its core principles of fiscal conservatism.
As a way to help the Blue Dog Coalition find their way back, the FreedomWorks staff created BlueDogPound.com as a tool for constituents in “Blue Dog” districts to stay informed of their Member’s activities.
Through various means, BlueDogPound.com will be promoted in every “Blue Dog” district across the country, encouraging constituents to sign up for updates. Each time there is a key vote coming before the House, the Blue Dog Pound list will be activated and constituents will be asked to take specific action items, all geared towards their Representative.
Once the vote is complete, the profile for each member of the Blue Dog Coalition will be updated based on their vote. Following these updates, a series of targeted marketing efforts will ensue.
