Another Group Votes to Oppose the Liberal Ref. C. Tax Hike

DENVER – Last week, in yet another defeat for Colorado tax and spend liberals, the Weld County Republican Executive Committee voted to oppose the Ref. C tax hike.

“Thanks to the help of Jon Reynolds, a hardworking volunteer activist in the fight against Ref. C., the Weld County Republican Executive Committee voted to reject Ref. C, which adds another group to the list of conservative and moderate organizations that stand ready to defeat this liberal tax hike,” said Colorado FreedomWorks State Director Beth Skinner. “I’m so happy that the Weld County Republican Executive Committee took action to defeat this tax raising measure.”
Skinner further commented: “FreedomWorks will continue to persuade other groups and organizations to pass similar resolutions that oppose the Ref. C tax hike. There is no reason for any conservative political or business group to support what amounts to a $3.7 billion tax hike.”

The Weld County Republican Executive Committee joins an extensive list of groups and organizations that oppose the Ref. C tax hike. This list includes the Arapahoe Country Republicans, Larimer County Republicans, the Colorado Republican Business Coalition, the El Paso County Republicans, Colorado Republican Gubernatorial candidates Bob Beauprez and Marc Holtzman, and conservative and Republican leaders all over Colorado who publicly oppose the Ref. C tax hike.
