Dick Armey to Address Republican National Conservative Caucus
Armey accepts invitation to speak to group at the 2010 RNC Winter Meetings in Honolulu.
Washington, DC - FreedomWorks Chairman Dick Armey will visit Honolulu, Hawaii on January 27 and 28 to meet with members of the Republican National Conservative Caucus. Armey was invited by the group to speak on how to restore constitutional principles in public polices to build a freer and more prosperous society.
The Republican National Conservative Caucus was founded in January 2009 by conservative members of the Republican National Committee. Its purpose is to promote conservative policies as well as educating the public.
FreedomWorks will host a reception for RNC members and local Honolulu tea party activists on Thursday, January 28 from 8:00pm-9:30pm in the South Pacific Ballroom at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The Hilton is located at 2005 Kalia Road, in Honolulu. Attendees will receive a complimentary poster of the September, 12 2009 Taxpayer March on Washington as well as a copy of “Tea Party: The Documentary Film.
The FreedomWorks reception is open to members of the press.
Dick Armey commented:
“I appreciate the hard work of the Republican National Conservative Caucus to promote economic and personal liberty. I’m honored they have invited me to join them in Hawaii. The results in Massachusetts show that if the GOP embraces small government principles it will prosper, even in deep blue Massachusetts. Armey’s axiom is that when we act like us we win, when we act like them we lose.”
“The independent-minded voters who make up tea party activists are looking for champions to end the trillion dollar deficits, failed stimulus packages, and bailouts. Fiscal conservatism is center of the big tent that the GOP can rebuild around heading into the midterm elections.”
“In recent years, the GOP earned a bad reputation through runaway budgets, the earmark explosion, and getting the bailout gravy train rolling. If the voter does not see a dime’s bit of difference between Republicans and Democrats, the Democrats will win. Fortunately, a core group of conservatives understand this and will challenge the GOP to be bold in the defense of liberty and earn the respect of the voters. After all, good policy will make good politics.”
“I look forward to supporting the great work of the Republican National Conservative Caucus.”
