Don't Let the U.S. Get Left Behind!
There is a critical vote on energy security this week in the Senate -- TAKE ACTION NOW!
S. 3711, The Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act, is coming up for a vote in the Senate this week, as soon as TOMORROW, and if you’re tired of watching energy prices spiral this summer you need to [TAKE ACTION] NOW!
This critical legislation will permit offshore energy exploration and has already been passed in the House of Representatives. Now it’s the Senate’s turn, and your Senator, Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN), is a critical vote.
Sen. Coleman’s office is being flooded with letters, calls, and emails from the usual suspects on the liberal Left. Their shrill rhetoric and outright lies are threatening to keep the U.S. beholden to foreign sources of energy, and even worse, threaten to put us at a strategic disadvantage with nations like Cuba, China, and Venezuela that are already aggressively rolling out energy exploration programs in the region.
[TAKE ACTION]
The truth is allowing exploration will not only lessen America’s foreign dependence on energy, but will lead to the development of alternative fuel sources. Natural gas is a clean, safe, reliable source of energy, and we should make use of this resource by allowing companies to explore off the coasts.
Don’t let this critical legislation get hung up! Contact Senator Coleman NOW and urge him to support S. 3711, The Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act. Also follow up with a personal phone call to his district office by calling 800-642-6041.
