FreedomWorks Engages 24 Hour GOTV Campaign in New York 23 Race
Efforts include door-to-door and phone calls to 25,000 targeted households to educate citizens on where candidates stand on key issues
Washington, D.C. - FreedomWorks has organized a Get Out The Vote (GOTV) operation surrounding the special congressional election in New York’s 23rd district that will take place on Tuesday, November 3rd.
Over the next 24 hours, FreedomWorks staff and volunteers on the ground in the district will be walking neighborhoods and over 25,000 phone calls will be made to demonstrate the differences between the candidates on important issues including taxes, spending, health care, and energy policy.
FreedomWorks will utilize an educational side-by-side comparison piece which can be downloaded here in door-to-door efforts. Chairman Dick Armey recorded this message that will be delivered to targeted households today – click here for audio.
“Hi, this is FreedomWorks chairman Dick Armey. I'm calling to let you know about some important differences between the candidates running in the special election for the 23rd Congressional District on November 3rd. Doug Hoffman supports conservative, limited government policy. He supports the flat tax, and opposes card check, the Obama stimulus and a government takeover of health care.
The other candidates in the race aren’t clear on their position on tax hikes, but they do support card check, the Obama Stimulus, and Obama’s government health care takeover.
I thought you should know all this before casting your vote on Tuesday, November 3rd.”
