FreedomWorks Wisconsin Meets Rep. Paul Ryan in D.C.

When Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, and the rest of the Republican Study Committee unveiled its balanced version of the budget on Capitol Hill on March 8, 2006, over 65 FreedomWorks grassroots activists from Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, Georgia, and Wisconsin took part in the rally. The RSC budget is a specific plan for Congress to cut unnecessary spending and bring entitlement growth under control.

In addition to attending the rally, FreedomWorks members met with their Senators and Representatives to support critical issues related to the “Freedom Agenda.” Those issues include full repeal of the Death Tax and permanent extension of the rest of the 2003 tax relief, creating personal accounts for Social Security, reforming local cable franchise laws to give all Americans real cable video choice, and supporting strict Medical criteria to stop the flood of runaway asbestos litigation.
