This week the Senate is debating a host of energy proposals backed by radical environmentalists and big government liberals that could drive the U.S. into a recession and make our country increasingly dependent on foreign sources of oil.

Global warming hysteria is fueling their campaign of fear even though their proposed reforms will do nothing to address this perceived ‘crisis’.

Nevertheless, Senate Democrats beholden to these liberal special interests are seeking to ram through a host of bad ideas that include:

• Multi-billion dollar tax hikes on oil and natural gas
• 1970’s-style gasoline price controls
• Regulations that would reduce our access to new supplies of oil and natural gas, thus making us more dependent on foreign sources
• An unrealistic renewable fuels program that could cost taxpayers billions while failing to supply reliable sources of energy

In order to succeed, they will need to twist the arms of key Senate Republicans including your Senator, Chuck Grassley. Senator Grassley needs to hear from you today that free-market conservatives oppose these potentially devastating reforms that will certainly hurt our economy while failing to deliver any defined environmental benefits.

TAKE ACTION! Urge Senator Grassley not to fall victim to the hype of the liberal Left and to take a bold, conservative stand on energy policy.
