Join Dick Armey in Des Moines on Sept. 19th
Key event to discuss America's economic future.
What’s wrong with the political debate today? Why aren’t more of our political leaders and Presidential candidates talking about the big issues facing America— issues like retirement security, fundamental tax reform, and spending restraint?
With the recent adoption of a discounted tax plan, Iowans are doing more than talking about these issues. You are getting the job done. Over the coming months, common-sense Iowans have the opportunity to put these issues back on the national agenda and continue the Reagan legacy.
That’s why I’m coming to the Hawkeye State on September 19th. I’d like to share with you my vision for the future, and how to keep America moving forward with a Freedom Agenda that includes bold ideas like:
Creating personal retirement accounts that younger workers own and control, and stopping the budget raid on the Social Security surplus Passing fundamental tax reform to make the code fairer, flatter, and more simple and honest to unleash the economy. Tax reform and simplification will also eliminate one of the biggest sources of special interest lobbying in Washington, D.C. Retaking control of the budget process on Capitol Hill to expose and end earmarks and put a halt to runaway government spending. Restoring private property rights as a central element to protecting freedom, our economy, and our way of life.American freedom and the American economic engine are what keep our nation strong and prosperous. Freedom and economic growth provide the resources, strength, and influence to advance American interests here at home and around the world. I hope you agree, and will join me on Sept. 19th.

This important event will be at the Downtown Holiday Inn in Des Moines. Admission is $25 and the event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
More than two-dozen state legislators have joined with Steve Forbes, Senator Charles Grassley and Iowans for Discounted Taxes to host the event. I am honored to accept an invitation to speak from these leaders in the fight to put the most important issues – like retirement security and tax reform – first. I know that you join me in congratulations for their success in making discounted taxes a success in Iowa. We must continue to push for broad reforms that bring the benefits of lower taxes to all Iowa families.
You can reserve a seat at the Downtown Holiday Inn by calling 202-942-7612.
I look forward to seeing you in Des Moines!
Sincerely,

Dick Armey
