Keep the Energy Package Free of New Taxes
Arkansas Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor will be casting important votes concerning the future of America’s energy policy when Congress reconvenes in September.
U.S. energy independence and security depends on their support for legislation that will help keep prices low and encourage increased domestic production of our own oil and natural gas resources. Unfortunately, current proposals now under consideration threaten to take America’s energy policy in the wrong direction by making it harder to utilize domestic energy sources, wasting taxpayer dollars on costly, unproven, alternative energy programs, and imposing up to $16 billion in new taxes on energy production.
Under the leadership of far-Left liberals such as Hillary Clinton, Harry Reid, and Ted Kennedy, big government advocates in the Senate are pushing for these sweeping changes to our energy policy that will drive energy prices sky high and stick American taxpayers with the bill.
Gasoline and home energy costs are already on the rise and these policies will only make matters worse.
Congress needs to pursue an energy policy that encourages energy producers to invest and expand domestically and promotes free-market competition and better technology. Doing so will help push energy costs down and prevent America from being dependent on foreign sources.
Contact Senators Lincoln and Pryor today. TAKE ACTION!
Sincerely,
