Stop Internet Censorship in Kentucky!

By Adam Brandon on September 22, 2008

Last week, Governor Steve Beshear helped push through a court case that effectively seized 141 internet gaming websites.  Under the guise of protecting the people of Kentucky from the ills of gambling, Gov. Beshear is content to allow his state to behave like China -- deciding what can and cannot appear over the internet.

Gov. Beshear is establishing an extremely risky precedent in treading on the free and open internet. Today it may be these specific gaming websites, but tomorrow it could be political opinion sites and blogs that the government deems as “dangerous.”

Call Gov. Beshear today at (502) 564-2611 and urge him not to enact internet censorship in Kentucky.  Tell him that you want to keep the net free!  You can also send an urgent email to the governor and your state legislators.

Take Action!
