Time is Running Out for Missouri Telecom Reform

Please take action now.

By Brendan Steinhauser on April 07, 2006

ST. LOUIS. For weeks now Missouri FreedomWorks volunteer activists like you have been placing hundreds of phone calls, emails, faxes, and letters into the offices of their legislators urging passage of SB 816, common-sense telecom reform that will bring true competition to the video services market currently dominated by cable monopolies.

TAKE ACTION

Unfortunately, despite these efforts, Show-Me-State legislators continue to stall on SB 816 and threaten to deprive Missouri cable consumers from the benefits of competition including better service and competitive prices, not to mention the new investment and exciting new technologies that this legislation paves the way for.

Maybe the politicians in Jefferson City don’t think people care about this issue? Maybe they are afraid that in an election year it’s better to remain cautious and not change the status quo?

Whatever the reason, time is running out, and these legislators need to hear that passing SB 816 is a priority this year!

Click on the link below to send an urgent message to your legislators and let them know that Missourians value bold leadership and courageous vision. A vote to pass SB 816 is a vote to bring the Show-Me-State into the 21st century and that’s an opportunity to big to miss.

TAKE ACTION

Sincerely,

Dick Armey

P.S. – Forward this email onto 5 friends and urge them to take action on behalf of SB 816. We have to show legislators an overwhelming grassroots response to convince them to move on this issue.
