Wendy Davis' filibuster against late-term abortion ban repels Texas Hispanics

BY MICHAEL BARONE

Embedded in the returns for last Tuesday's primary election in Texas is an interesting lesson on the difficulty of holding even a minority party's coalition together. State Sen. Wendy Davis achieved national renown for filibustering a bill prohibiting abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy (a point at which many babies are viable outside the womb). It's that TEA time again

BY Josh Eboch

Isn't it funny how a string of good old fashioned, car-burning riots in the middle east has become a trendy global cause celebre for freedom, while peaceful protests against government waste and exorbitant taxes in America were dubbed "unhealthy" by the president's top adviser and "racist" by some in the media?
