FreedomWorks Trains French Free-Market Leaders
Young leaders visit U.S. to learn about campaign strategies.
FreedomWorks grassroots manager Brendan Steinhauser provided grassroots training to six young free-market leaders from France. The training was part of FreedomWorks Foundation’s Center for Global Economic Growth, headed by Dr. Richard Rahn.
The young conservatives were in Washington visiting with a number of think tanks, and wanted to learn how to use grassroots politics to disseminate free-market ideas to the masses. They were repeatedly told that FreedomWorks was the best place to learn how to learn such tactics, due to its reputation as a grassroots powerhouse.
Hopefully these bright young activists will be the remnant that will bring France back from its disastrous economic policies. Meeting with them was encouraging, and FreedomWorks will continue to provide them with advice as they head home to take on the Left in their own country.
According to the group, in France the textbooks teach that John Maynard Keynes was a “classical liberal.” If this is true, these young conservatives have quite a bit of work to do.
Bonne chance!
