Key Vote YES on Immediate Earmark Moratorium
FreedomWorks supports House vote today for Appropriations reform.
On behalf of hundreds of thousands of FreedomWorks members and supporters nationwide, I write to urge you to support the Immediate Earmark Moratorium scheduled for a vote today in the U.S. House of Representatives.
For some time, both parties in Congress have been guilty of abusing the power to insert “earmarks” that divert American families’ hard-earned tax dollars to special interest projects. In recent years, these earmarks have included millions to build an artificial rainforest in Iowa and the now infamous “bridge to nowhere” in Alaska.
Today’s vote on an Immediate Earmark Moratorium will put legislators on the record as to their commitment to stop earmark abuse and take the first serious step towards spending restraint.
FreedomWorks will count your vote as a KEY VOTE when calculating the FreedomWorks Economic Scorecard. The FreedomWorks Economic Scorecard is used to determine eligibility for the Jefferson Award, which recognizes legislators who demonstrate voting records in support of economic freedom.
Sincerely,
Matt Kibbe
