The Taxpayer Tea Party Movement is Growing

First wave of tea parties a huge success

This past week, FreedomWorks helped to organize "Taxpayer Tea Party" protests around the country, in the wake of Rick Santelli's (CNBC) call for a "Chicago Tea Party" to protest the ridiculous economic policies of President Barack Obama. These protests were a huge success around the country! Thousands of Americans showed up and made their voices heard.

Grassroots Americans are rising up and demanding that the federal government stop wasting trillions of dollars of our money. The Feb. 27th tea parties were only the beginning. FreedomWorks is now working with other groups to plan a massive, nationwide tea party protest day for Tax Day on April 15th, 2009!We will be posting the details of each tea party on our event website IamWithRick.com so please be sure to check back for your city and the location of the protest. Many of you have requested that we expand the list, which we are working hard to do. Once you sign up to IamWithRick.com we will be able to email you updates with new cities, event times and locations. This is the best way to keep posted on all the events being planned around the country.

Below are the cities where we worked with either a local volunteer or other organizations to set up a "tea party." Note that there are a few protests in March and April, that we are planning in addition to our national Tax Day Tea Party being planned for April 15th.

Why not protest every weekend? If we are spreading out our protest by months, will it have much of an impact? If there was ever a time to stand and be heard, it's now! Spending is out of control and every single American; black, white, yellow, blue, green, purple, rich, poor, powerful, peon, republican, democrat, independent....

This good to protest to achieve their goals. licitatii online
just a thought… Why not protest every weekend? If we are spreading out our protest by months, will it have much of an impact? Regards Anunturi
If there is an apparent graft and corruption people have the right to make protest especially if involve malicious spending of government fund. Recession isn’t over yet, we have to make cutbacks, prioritize our spending. You won't think of payday loans that often if you cut back on spending. http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2009/05/05/weakened-spent-money-im/
Now it's time to take all the tea partys to DC. It's time to show all of our porking senators and representatives we will take action against them.
Why isn't anyone concerned about the fact that Obama has yet to produce a legal birth certificate? I feel that this is the best approach to getting rid of him and solving many of our problems. Since he is not legally our President, we should focus our protests on this. Imagine if cameras looking across America’s tea parties saw signs like: Obama's the real terrorist, and he's not legally our President. 3 forensic experts declared Obama's birth certificate to be a forgery: americasright.com US Constitution states that the President must be a “natural born citizen." We want a President who can prove that he's born in America. Recall Obama: a fraud born in Kenya. Obama: "You can't pay us off; We the people demand an authentic birth certificate." Obama: the pirate who assaulted the Constitution by stealing the presidency. Read My Teleprompter: Obama's inelligible to be President! My allegations can be documented by information on many websites, including the one listed above and altermedia.info Please read this information. There are currently 8 lawsuits in the courts concerning Obama's citizenship (one involving Alan Keyes,) but the judges are apparently being paid off. (Obama has reputedly spent over $800,000 for this.) We the people have been deliberately deceived, and we need to speak up loudly against this outrageous violation of our Constitutional right to an American-born President.
Does anyone have any information regarding the Tea Party scheduled for 4/11 in Rancho Cucamonga, CA? I wanted to confirm this Tea Party is going to take place. Thank you!
Does anyone know if there is a database of planned tea parties (not just tax day)? My husband and I want to put together a template that can be used to generate a flyer for each and every one. If so, please contact me at kelly at limitsofexperience dot com. Thanks!
SCRANTON, PA TEA PARTY planned for April 15, 2009; 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Lackawanna County Court House. Meet at the Soldier's Memorial Monument, across from the Post Office and Federal Buildling. Parking is available in nearby parking garages. Signs are encouraged. Let your voice be heard! Bring your family, friends and neighbors and be sure to make a sign to proudly express your concerns about the massive spending of your hard earned tax dollars by legislators in Washington, D.C. Aren't you Taxed Enough Already?
There are 2 Tea Parties planned in Pittsburgh. The first is April 11, and the contact info is: Robert Baehr [bobbaehr@embarqmail.com] The second one is on April 15 and the contact is: Chris Conte [cconte@andrew.cmu.edu]

Just a thought... Why not protest every weekend? If we are spreading out our protest by months, will it have much of an impact? If there was ever a time to stand and be heard, it's now! If you can use me I would be happy to organize a tea party here in Olympia, WA. I live right near the capital, and there are plenty of p$%#ed off taxpayers like me living here. My email is nurselroy@yahoo.com. .
Wow...I am so excited about the teaparty organization. How can I help out in Austin Texas. Is there a contact for Austin. I can't wait to march in the most liberal city in Austin. WooHoo!!!! Sherry
General Announcement: There will be a massive Tea Party Protest in Orlando on Saturday March 21. Time is 12 noon to 2pm at the beautiful downtown Lake Eola park. The outdoor amphitheater has been secured and there is a local talk radio personality pumping it hard. I'd advise everyone to consider coming to it. http://www.orlandoteaparty.com/index.html
Looking for like-minded Pensacola folks to throw our own Tea Party. Don't forget the panhandle!!
Anybody working on a protest for Indianapolis? Would like to attend/participate. Please let me know, you can email me at dreamarchetti@yahoo.com
I agree 100% with CATB. These parties tomorrow [most of them] have too SHORT of a notice to attend :( July 4th is the PERFECT day! I don't think we can afford to wait until Dec 16th [and it's a week day]. I PRAY the media [MSM] covers these events & I hope they are able to get a good turn out on such a short notice - otherwise, it may APPEAR to the general public [aka kool-aid drinkers] that, we, who protest such horrible government actions are few in numbers...
I would really like to see a NATIONWIDE Sat...July 4th protest! That would give time to plan and most people have that day off. If it was set for noon thoughout the country (as the time zones change) we could do the WAVE across the country! Many people are too far from tomorrows or without enough notice have to work.....we are not the ones profiting from the pork!
I think this is a good idea for July 4th
Anyone have a link for directions to the Sarasota site tomorrow....I tried Mapquest. Does anyone have any info where this is? I found it!
Second the request for a Tea Party for the SE coast of Florida. I'm in the West Palm Beach area.
Any planned for the East Coast of Florida around West Palm Beach? I'm in Port St. Lucie.

any in tampa?
Hi, there will be two protests: one at 12noon and then later at 5pm though if people can participate straight through that's ideal. We'd like to get as many people out to the first one if possible to make the evening news cycle if they care to notice us. We need everyone's help spreading the word. Tell your friends, send emails, join us on MeetUp and tell us you are attending, follow us on Twitter (see links below), post on your blog or site if you have one, post in comments... help spread the word! Thanks! WHEN: 12pm to 2pm AND 5pm to 7pm April 15, '09 WHERE: Federal Courthouse, 801 N Florida Ave in downtown Tampa WEBSITE: www.meetup.com/Tampa-Tea-Party TWITTER: www.twitter.com/TampaTeaParty
We will be at the Sam Gibbons Federal Courthouse, 801 N. Florida Ave, at noon Friday. Be there or be square.
Can you please tell me what time we should gather in front of the court house in Tampa on Friday, as I would like to e-mail others about the purpose and venue. Sincerely, Elizabeth
