State Chapter: Arizona

Welcome to FreedomWorks Arizona!

Our mission is to turn ideas and policies into action. Those ideas can never succeed unless ordinary citizens are willing to stand up and fight for them...

Our goal is to help ordinary citizens play a greater role in the government decisionmaking process, letting no cause involving their own rights and freedoms be lost by default.

Let's work together to fight for less government, lower taxes and more freedom in Arizona!

Join Arizona FreedomWorks, where our members are creating a strong grassroots presence across the entire state. Help us win the fight!

Arizona Politicians Looking to Raise Taxes

FreedomWorks calls on Arizona legislators to set budget priorities and not punish Arizona taxpayers with higher taxes in the middle of a recession.

Phoenix, AZ –Gov. Jan Brewer (R) is set to pressure state legislators into approving a new 2010 budget that is destined to take large sums of money out of the pockets of Arizona families. Such proposed tax increases of upwards of $1 billion in unspecified hikes by the Governor come amid the latest economic outlook—one that is bleak at best for a state with a projected $3 billion deficit.

State News

On Feb. 5 I voted for John McCain. He was my fifth choice. I had more horses shot out from under me than Nathan Bedford Forrest.

In 2000, McCain was my first choice. I knew of his philosophical imperfections then. They grew since with McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy and McCain Lieberman acts concerning campaign finance, immigration and climate change. Beyond those, he never co-sponsored a major bill with another Republican. I even called him “senator mood ring,” explaining why he dumped on both the GOP and the conservative movement.
