Social Security bill proposes substantial personal accounts and no new taxes

FreedomWorks cheers Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE) for his bold leadership on Social Security reform. Sen. Hagel is introducing legislation today that will reform Social Security by allowing workers to invest a substantial portion of their income into Personal Retirement Accounts (PRAs).

FreedomWorks members attend Presidential Social Security events.

FreedomWorks members led by Wisconsin State Director Cameron Sholty attended White House events last week in Fargo, North Dakota and Omaha, Nebraska. (photos below).

Cameron Sholty reported from the field, "The lines to get into the events were each thousands of people long. In Omaha especially, the place was packed. I was able to distribute 1,680 Social Security reform books between Fargo, Omaha, and a district visit to Iowa Congressman Jim Leach's office. In fact, note the photo below of folks standing in line in North Dakota reading the Social Security books."
