Republican Senator John Cornyn boo'd at Austin Tea Party

At yesterday's Austin Tea Party at the state capitol, politicians who voted for TARP were not welcome. Witness the reception of Republican Senator (and RINO-endorser) John Cornyn. The message for politicians? People are watching your votes carefully, and if you vote for big government while trying to convince us that you are for limited government, the people will not buy it. Cornyn tried to criticize Washington, but the people in Austin were well aware that Cornyn had become part of the problem.

Tax day 'tea parties' stir passion in Dallas-Fort Worth

For now, it’s not about the war on terrorism, abortion or gay marriage.

The issue stoking outrage among thousands of conservatives across the country is runaway spending. And that’s why they chose Wednesday — tax day, April 15 — to hold "tea party" rallies nationwide.

Dozens of tea party rallies are being planned to oppose the Obama administration’s fiscal policies. At least 10 rallies are being planned in the Metroplex. Gov. Rick Perry is scheduled to attend the Fort Worth rally at LaGrave Field.
