WA CSE Telecommunications Tour Continues Throughout the State Educating Grassroots Activists

Washington – Washington Citizens for a Sound Economy’s (WA CSE) telecommunications tour continues throughout the state educating grassroots citizens of the benefits of telecommunications competition.

WA CSE made it a point to discuss the issue on the airwaves including both radio and television. WA CSE director, Gary Strannigan was twice a featured guest on Republican Radio discussing the benefits of telecommunications competition. On June 26, Strannigan was a guest on the Republican Perspective Cable Television show, which has an estimated viewing attendance of 20,000 in and around the Seattle-Tacoma area.

Grassroots Message – At each stop, WA CSE delivers its simple message: government regulations prevent the full potential of the high-tech economy from ever becoming reality; consumer choice and competition are replaced by outdated government regulations; and, the prices and quality of telecommunications services are compromised due to unnecessary government regulations.

At each stop, WA CSE signs on new CSE activists arming them with the tools that they need in order to stay informed and more importantly, become active. New activists are educated on the issue and are encouraged to visit CSE’s web page for more information on the issue. Also, all attendees are given CSE Foundation’s educational booklet, “Breaking Down the Barriers to Competition: A Brighter Future of Telecommunications.”
