Get ready, Colorado, another round of health plan cancellations are about to happen

In September 2009, during an interview with a local Fox affiliate, Sen. Mark Udall (D-CO) told Coloradans that "[i]f you have an insurance policy you like, doctor or medical facility that provides medical services to you, you'll be able to keep that doctor or that insurance policy." There was no ambiguity in his statement, just the same line that was repeated by President Obama and other Senate Democrats to help sell ObamaCare to a skeptical public.

On Halloween, Dems will be Haunted by their ObamaCare Pasts

There’s been considerable speculation over whether ObamaCare would manifest itself as a major election issue this year, in light of the media’s focus on Ebola and the turmoil in the Middle East. Well, any doubt that ObamaCare still matters can be put to rest, with the announcement that 13 states and the District of Columbia will be sending out hundreds of thousands of insurance cancellation notices by the end of October, mere days before the November 4th elections.

Mark Udall says he'd vote for ObamaCare all over again

Sen. Mark Udall (D-CO) has gone on record, once again, saying that he would he vote for ObamaCare all over again, if he had the chance. Not that it was ever in question, given that the Colorado Democrat has voted with his party 98 percent of the time.

Harry Reid Tries to Overrule the Supreme Court

Democrats’ Role Reversal on Corporatism

Old stereotypes die hard, regardless of their increasing inability to reflect reality. Consider the caricature of the corporate fat cat, clad cartoonishly in top hat and spats, building monopolies, crushing competition, exploiting workers and all the while lining his pockets with wads and wads of filthy lucre. Now quick, how do you think our straw industrialist will vote? If you said Republican, you’re not alone.

Mark Udall wants feds to get YOU in shape!

A lot of important things were happening in 2008. Banks were failing, jobs were being lost, and our economy was about to be pushed off a cliff. The problems our country faced in 2008 were grave, and have had lasting consequences even to this day. Luckily, while voters, politicians, and pundits wasted their time trying to select new leaders of government to tackle these problems, then-Congressman Mark Udall saw something different. In the midst of economy downturn, Congressman Udall and his taxpayer-funded congressional staff felt the best use of their time and resources was to write a bill to get Americans to stand up and actually do something! Literally, something—anything actually that made a person sweat. And they wanted the government to design a program and devote resources promoting it.

The Dictatorial Senate

Back in November, when Harry Reid’s employed the nuclear option to allow judicial nominees to be confirmed with a simple majority vote, commentators on both sides of the political spectrum had plenty to say about the move. On the right, Reid was criticized for single-handedly uprooting years of Senate tradition and for robbing the minority party of their right to debate. On the left, Reid’s actions were praised as greasing the wheels of government to actually get things accomplished in the face of intractable Republican opposition. Supporters of Reid appealed to a sense of Democracy, arguing that majority should rule and that the sixty-vote threshold is an arcane relic of a different time.
