FreedomWorks Submits Formal Comments to End School Veggie Mandates

FreedomWorks Foundation's Regulatory Action Center (RAC) submitted formal comments to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) in support of their recent proposal to ease restrictions on the National School Lunch Program. Localities should be able to determine how best to get their students the nutrients they need, instead of a one-size-fits-all "solution" from the federal government. The text of these formal comments can be found excerpted below or in the attached document:

How Best to Rein in the Regulatory State

FreedomWorks Foundation's Regulatory Action Center (RAC) submitted formal comments to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on their recent request for information. Accountability for Organ Donations Will Save Thousands of Lives, Billions of Dollars

In today’s politically charged climate, it often seems that politicians aren’t taken seriously unless they spuriously claim that “people will die” if a certain course of action is or is not taken. The rhetoric has been elevated to such a point that only the threat of life or death seems to get the attention of the masses, regardless of whether or not the claim is true. That’s a shame, because an issue has finally come along that does have grave consequences for thousands of Americans.
