Take Back Our Culture: Ron Swanson

With liberal Hollywood constantly propagating nonsensical political platforms that limit our liberties, a few pieces of our culture have managed to advocate for less government and more freedom. The fictional Ron Swanson, from the popular television series Parks and Recreation, is a hero for our conservative cause.

October Freedom Artist: Betty Taylor

Our October artist, Betty Taylor, is one of our talented painters. All of her work is vibrant and expressive, conveying beauty in texture and color, regardless of subject. Though more of a traditional artist, Betty is beginning to branch out to create more conceptual and editorial pieces. We are excited for her new direction and look forward to seeing where she goes with her new inspiration.

September Freedom Artist: Sharon C. McGovern

Our September Featured Artist for Liberatchik is Sharon McGovern. Her work reminds us of the beauty in simplicity and the technical merits of study and honing a technique. Though her work is not political, it is expressive of our mission at Liberatchik to promote traditional art forms and themes that do not seek to tear down our culture. Sharon's drawings are a shining beacon in the fog of modernism's efforts at relativist deconstruction of beauty, society, and the individual. We are proud to call her one of our own.

Freedom Art: Marc Stolfi

Marc Stolfi is a master of Liberatchik's goal to #TakeBackOurCulture. Though he has been an active member of Liberatchik for about a year, his personal work has depicted cultural and political transgressions for far longer. We accepted his art based on ideological similarities and the quality of his work, which is both conceptual and realistic. It bridges the gulf between traditional, in style and technique, and contemporary in subject matter and rendering.

The Next Generation of Liberty Artists: Kate Barnett

Kate joined Liberatchik around the age of 20, when she was actively seeking like-minded artists; making her one of our youngest members. After years at a liberal charter art high school and experimenting with the idea of college at the local community college, she needed a more real and genuine way in which to promote her work and ideas.

Freedom Artist Richard Bledsoe

At Liberatchik, we are proud to have such an intellectual and creative mind on our side. Richard Bledsoe and his work are great assets to those of us trying to save the arts from the mundane and destructive intentions of the cultural elites. We hope that you will take the time to fully explore his work and support our ongoing efforts to #TakeBackOurCulture.

March Freedom Artist: Richard Wobbe's Stained Glass

Richard Wobbe is one of our newer artists at Liberatchik, but he is quickly making up for lost time. He wanted to describe how he came to our group in his own words:

Freedom Art: My Mission to #TakeBackOurCulture

I didn't realize it at the time, but over a decade ago, I was laying the foundation for a movement to #TakeBackOurCulture. For years, I had been struggling with the desire to create art that would sell and painting things that I found inspiring or meaningful. My passion and inspiration took me in the direction of meaningful work, but the more involved I became in the art community, the more I realized that, as a libertarian, I was an outsider.

Freedom Art: Melissa A. Torres

Though Melissa is relatively new to Liberatchik, she has been an enthusiastic participant in our efforts to #TakeBackOurCulture. She joined our movement because she feels it is important for people to realize that all artists, while it seems to be the norm, are not Liberal. She believes, as we do, that it is important to promote the many artists who are Conservative or Libertarian. Melissa feels, as many of us at Liberatchik often do, that we are outnumbered in the art community. She understands our feelings of exclusion and the difficulty of becoming successful because of closed-mindedness in the vast majority of artists who are Liberal. Because many of them believe there is no place for pro-American or individualist themes in the arts, Melissa feels that we must show them that it is not the case. There surely is an audience for Patriotic art; we just need the same opportunities to display it in public venues.
