Big Government Is Killing Green Energy

I trek across Iowa at least three or four times per year, and one sight has come to define the state for me: miles upon miles of (largely government-incentivized) wind turbines. Iowa’s wind power accounts for 20% of the state’s total energy output, putting them in third place behind Texas and California in capitalizing on what some see as the wave of the future: renewable energy.

And God Made a “Taxpayer Subsidized” Farmer

Americans involved in agriculture are no longer the tenant farmers and sharecroppers of days past. I’ve yet to hear of a “disaster harvest” which forces the sale of the family cow. Banks are not repossessing their land, and the range wars between farmers and ranchers have long ended.

The Fiscal Cliff Bill - Special Interests Profit While the Rest of Us Pay

It's like deja vu all over again.  The fiscal cliff bill, H.R. 8, was drafted behind closed doors, and lawmakers were given six minutes to read the 154-page bill before voting on it.  Once again, we apparently had to pass the bill to find out what's in it.

They manipulate the political system to get insider deals, government guarantees, fixed prices and other benefits, paid for by taxpayers and consumers. 10. United States Postal Service (USPS) The USPS is a monopoly more interested in job protection than efficiency or innovation. Labor costs consume 80% of USPS revenue, while UPS and FedEx spend only 56% and 42% of their revenue on labor, respectively. Reform would allow competition for mailbox and first-class mail service.
