PRAs Ignite South Florida Crowds

On April 4, 2004, hundreds attended events in Palm Beach, Broward County to hear CSE policy analyst and Social Security expert, Max Pappas, explain Personal Retirement Accounts (PRAs).

In addition to the grassroots interest, several policymakers and candidates from the local, state and federal level were in attendance to learn more about Social Security reform. Following the presentation, two U.S. Congressional candidates, Dr. Marion Thorpe (D23) and Margaret Hostetter (D21), signed the CSE Freedom Agenda Survey. South Florida CSE Director John Hallman also issued a “call to action” for all attendees to take additional copies of the surveys and urge Florida candidates for U.S. House and Senate candidates to complete and return to CSE.
