Key Vote YES on Delaying the Individual Mandate

As one of our millions of FreedomWorks members nationwide, I urge you to contact your Representative and urge him or her to vote YES on H.R. 2668, the Fairness for American Families Act. Sponsored by Rep. Todd Young (R-IN), this bill—which the House is expected to take up this week—would delay ObamaCare’s “individual mandate.

ObamaCare’s Death Knell

The sound you hear is ObamaCare’s death knell. Late yesterday, the Administration announced that has decided to unilaterally (and by the way, illegally) postpone enforcement of the employer mandate for a full year, until 2015.

Refuting J.D. Kleinke’s “Conservative Case for ObamaCare”

Little lasts for long in the world of politics. Popular politicians grow obscure, national movements wither (Occupy, anyone?), and broad coalitions splinter. My prediction is the mandate could very easily rise from the grave in a new form, namely, the "conservative" idea of giving everybody a new universal health care tax credit, coupled with a policy called "auto-enrollment." I call it a soft mandate, and it’s arguably as bad as the original.
