One Year Later: Remembering Andrew Breitbart

It was 4:45am pacific time and my phone rang.  I didn't even open my eyes to see who was calling but I answered.  The voice on the other end was somber, "Kristina, you're going to read and hear that Breitbart is dead. It's not a joke, and I'm so sorry my friend." I sobbed. Not only for the friend I had lost, but for the leader I knew could never be replaced.

They will regret more not realizing that a viable First Amendment requires a press in loyal opposition to the government. “Alò Presidente” is the name of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez’s unscripted propaganda talk show, which Chavez demands all “privately owned Venezuelan media outlets broadcast every Sunday from 11:00am to 5:00pm. “Alò Presidente” features Chávez addressing current events of the day and visiting locations where government social welfare programs are being implemented.
