FreedomWorks Co-Sponsors Freedom Fest

RANDOLPH CENTER, VT – On October 15th, FreedomWorks and the Ethan Allen Institute are bringing fiscally conservative Vermonters together for Freedom Fest, an all day grassroots event, at the Vermont Technical College.

Freedom Fest is an informative program for concerned citizens to learn about six main issues: Economy and Taxes, Health Care, Energy, Education, Land and Environment, and Cultural Issues.

The event will showcase distinguished fiscal policy experts, such as the Wall Street Journal’s Stephen Moore. Governor Jim Douglas will attend the reception following the program.

In addition, Freedom Fest will feature FreedomWorks’ own campaign team to present political solutions to implement pro-growth policies. FreedomWorks’ Vermont State Director and award winning communication and marketing professional, Rob Roper, will discuss how to communicate your policy message. Brendan Steinhauser, FreedomWorks’ Grassroots Manager and author of The Conservative Revolution: How to Win the Battle for College Campuses, will present how to organize effective grassroots action.

“I’m very excited that we can bring Freedom Fest to Vermont,” said FreedomWorks Vermont State Director Rob Roper. “The principles of lower taxes, less government and greater economic opportunity are under assault here like nowhere else in the nation. We are setting the stage for some serious change by showing people that freedom, not bureaucratic regulation, is the answer to instill pro-growth economic policy.”
